Bosh Bees is the apiary of Bobbi & Josh Topper, located at our home and Topper Machine LLC near Spooner, Wisconsin.

Around here, we call what we do “Precision Beekeeping.”

That name comes from our roots in the machine shop. Topper Machine LLC has always been about careful work, attention to detail, problem solving, and doing things right. We try to bring that same mindset to caring for our bees — watching colony health, improving our equipment and apiary, learning from every season, and continually working to give our bees the best environment we can.

Honey From the Wisconsin Northwoods

Our hives sit in the heart of the beautiful Wisconsin Northwoods, surrounded by forests, lakes, rivers, wetlands, and wildflowers, with relatively few large agricultural fields nearby.

Throughout the season, our bees forage across this diverse landscape, gathering nectar from the plants and flowers growing naturally around us.

The result is a raw, unfiltered local honey with a flavor and character that reflects northern Wisconsin.

Because honey is a natural agricultural product, its color, flavor, and aroma can vary from season to season and even from one harvest to another, depending on what happens to be blooming when the bees are gathering nectar. That's part of what makes real local honey special.

Why We Keep Bees

Honey is only part of the reason we keep bees.

Bees are among the world's most important pollinators. As they move from flower to flower gathering nectar and pollen, they help plants reproduce. Pollination supports wildflowers, fruits, vegetables, seeds, wildlife habitat, and healthy ecosystems.

A healthy population of pollinators is an important part of the natural world around us — and we want to do our small part to support it here in northern Wisconsin.

That's also why 100% of the profit from Bosh Bees honey sales goes right back into our apiary.

Truly Local — And Available in Very Few Places

Bosh Bees honey isn't mass-produced or distributed through large retailers.

Our honey is available only through the Topper Machine LLC online store and locally at the Dunn Lake Schoolhouse Pie Shop.

That's it.

When it's gone, we have to wait for the bees to make more.

What You Receive

Each jar contains:

1 lb. of Bosh Bees Pure, Raw & Unfiltered Northwoods Honey

Packaged in a 1-pound glass jar with a sealed lid.

As a small apiary, we use the jar lids we have available at the time of bottling. Your jar may have a:

The lid may change.

The honey doesn't.
